  • Headings shouldn't end in stops, except in the case of 'etc.'

  • Remove 'Cross-references' at the end of each Act.

  • Move "History" of legislation up to the top of a document in the preface but bellow the longtitle. The legislation must be marked up in an annotation or remark without the word "History" e.g, {{*[Act 2 of 23; Cap. 1]}}

  • If you come across an 'Explanation', please mark it up as an annotation or remark.

Importing the Word documents

  1. Find the Chapter number of the Act you're working on. You can do this by looking on the Work overview or by hovering over the Act's title in the task.

  2. In Drive, open the relevant folder and download the Word doc with that chapter number. For example, for Chapter 271, I'll open the folder 'Chapters 201 to 300' and download the Word doc called 'chapter 271.docx'.

  3. Use this as the document to import.

Hover over 'Divorce Act' to see that it's Chapter 249
Download 'chapter 249.docx' from the folder 'Chapters 201 to 300'
Click 'Import document' at the consolidation date: 2000-12-31
Upload the Word document you downloaded from Drive
